Definition:
WRC is an Iraqi Non Governmental Organization which keen on the issues of politics, culture,
human rights, woman rights & media.


WRC is aiming to realize the following objectives:

1- Reactivating the citizenship principle completely as being a complete cultural, political and social system.

2- Reactivating the religious, intellectual and cultural systems that connected with the citizenship and patriotic principle particularly the spontaneous systems (the bases and the standards), the applied systems, the controlling systems (the legal) with the aim to change measures and outcomes of the social systems, which excluded citizenship and patriotism.

3- The extraordinary interest in democracy as being a productive system for the citizenship under the modern state through devoting understanding and democratic culture and intellect.

4- The circulation of justice and equality values for being the infrastructure for the good citizenship.

5- Reactivating systems of national rights and duties based on national and human right and duty as well as maintaining human rights as bases to fix the citizenship principle.



Idea:
one of the most important factors for the collapse of the political life in modern Iraq is the weakness and fragility of the citizenship principle inside the Iraqi popular and official conscience.

Iraq has annexed intellectually and politically with illusive, false and dreamy features by the universe, Islamic and Arab world!! The Iraqi conventional schools have controlled the factors of the modern and strong building of the Iraqi state once it excluded the citizenship principle and weakened the culture and the national belonging as it affirmed that Iraq is a follower for the grand world, Arab and Islamic departments.

The dictatorship, tyranny and the confiscation of the national human rights and the prevalence of war and oppression led to weakening of the citizenship citizen does not sense any factual belonging for his homeland because of the killing, distortion and confiscation of the rights. Hence the citizenship turned to be a restriction did not take long time before the Iraqi citizen gets rid of in the 1st opportunity!! The weakness of choosing the national belonging is the 1st factor that is threatening the unity, stability and Iraq's progression.

Nowadays after the liberation from the yoke of the dictatorship, we hope that Iraq will realize a qualitative leap differ from all miserable chapters thanks to the democracy, the national belonging culture, the law prevalence and publicity of freedoms .We deem that the real transformation pillar which will assure the real starting towards democracy and the balanced structure of the Iraqi state is represented in the affirmation and strengthening of the citizenship and its cultural and legal worthiness in all Iraqi life standards. Stability and progress principle in the address and the Iraqi conscience. The Iraqi could not be attained without popular integration and Iraqi national genuine belonging. How we could realize stability and progress with the spread of narrow loyalties for the sect, race, tribe and the family on the account of the loyalty to the homeland? How could be build a real state without considering the constitutional or legal merits which are based on the right and the national neutral and objective duty towards the citizens? The fundamental transformations in the Iraqi popular and official life are based on the affirmation and presence of the citizenship and its cultural and legal worthiness which is a matter that required the increase of the elite enlightenment and educating campaigns concentrates on the citizenship principle coping with the desired aspirations in order to build new Iraq.



The Center Believes In:
1- Faith in Iraq as a homeland for all, not monopolized by certain sect or controlled by certain nationality or affected by political school, but it is a homeland for the all disregarding their sects, nationalities, political, and cultural diversifications. The all are equal in rights and duties.

2- Faith in the principle of establishing integrated state relying on the citizenship principle as a base for building the human, the society and the Iraqi state.

3- Faith in the democracy and the law to secure the rights, human and national duties to include the all with equality, justice, freedom, questioning, transparency and fair development as being fruitful pillars for the state of good and developed citizenship.

4- Faith in the values of social coexistence as necessary bases to realize transformations in the human and national construction of the new Iraq.
